About The Position

Kid Zone Team Members create a safe, welcoming, and fun environment for children ages 3 months to 12 years. They engage children in age-appropriate games, activities, and creative play while providing attentive care and maintaining a clean, secure, and enriching space. Team members also support positive social development and provide a consistent, positive experience for children and their parents or members.

Requirements

Pre-school or day care experience is desired.
Flexible and positive attitude in meeting and exceeding member expectations.
Patience and creative energy when working with children, with a high tolerance for childhood behaviors.
Physical stamina to care for groups of energetic young children.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work well under pressure and time constraints and display positive behavior when interacting with children and parents.
Attend and participate in required meetings and trainings as needed.
Willingness and ability to work a flexible shift, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Current CPR certification or ability to pass CPR certification within 60 days of hire.
Must be Trustline registered; In-Shape facilitates registration after acceptance of an employment offer.
First Aid training is required only at clubs with pool slides.

Nice To Haves

Bilingual skills are a plus.
Pre-school or day care experience is desired.

Responsibilities

Maintain a safe environment by correctly implementing safety policies and procedures.
Observe and monitor children’s activities in the Kids Zone.
Organize and participate in recreational activities as appropriate.
Read to children and teach simple painting, drawing, handicrafts, and songs.
Engage children in activities that promote healthy habits.
Follow and adhere to the In-Shape Clean Approach.
Organize and store toys and materials to keep activity areas orderly.
Support children’s social development, understanding of others, and positive self-concepts.
Ensure that only authorized personnel enter the Kids Zone.
Ensure staff, children, and parent/members follow Kids Zone policies and procedures.
Resolve concerns and problems while meeting member needs and following company guidelines.
Help build the member community through a consistent member experience.
Assist in other areas of the club when needed.
During the season, where applicable, monitor the pool and slide and enforce slide rules.
Perform additional assigned duties and responsibilities.
