About The Position

Kids Zone team members create a safe, welcoming, and fun environment for children ages 3 months to 12 years. They engage children in age-appropriate games, activities, and creative play while providing attentive care and building positive connections. Team members maintain a clean, secure, and enriching space while parents use the club. The role may also include monitoring the pool and slide during the season at applicable clubs and assisting in other areas of the club when needed.

Requirements

Preschool or daycare experience is desired.
Flexible, positive attitude in meeting and exceeding members' expectations.
Patience and creative energy for working with children, with a high tolerance for childhood behaviors.
Physical stamina to care for groups of energetic young children.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work well under pressure and time constraints and display positive behavior in interactions with children and parents.
Willingness and ability to work a flexible shift, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Current CPR certification or ability to pass CPR certification within 60 days of hire.
Must be Trustline registered; In-Shape will facilitate registration upon acceptance of an offer of employment.
First Aid training is required only at clubs with pool slides.

Nice To Haves

Bilingual skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

Maintain a safe environment by correctly implementing safety policies and procedures.
Observe and monitor the activities of all children in the Kids Zone.
Organize and participate in recreational activities, as appropriate.
Read to children and teach simple painting, drawing, handicrafts, and songs.
Engage children in activities that promote healthy habits.
Follow and adhere to the In-Shape Clean Approach.
Organize and store toys and materials to keep activity areas orderly.
Support children's social development, understanding of others, and positive self-concepts.
Ensure that only authorized personnel enter the Kids Zone.
Ensure staff, children, and parents or members follow Kids Zone policies and procedures.
Resolve concerns and problems while meeting members' needs and following company guidelines.
Help build the member community through a consistent member experience.
Assist in other areas of the club when needed.
During the season, where applicable, monitor the pool and slide as needed and enforce slide rules.
Perform additional assigned duties and responsibilities.
Attend and participate in required meetings and training as needed.
