About The Position

Auto Park KIA has an outstanding opportunity for a Technician Team Lead to join their team! This is a productive Team Lead position where you will supervise, mentor, and assist with the development of technicians in the workshop. You will partner with regional TDA & Diagnostic Specialist to assist with onboarding and career development for technicians. You will also serve as a liaison between the Service Manager, Diagnostic Specialist, Service Advisors, Parts personnel, Technicians, Warranty Administration and clients, while maintaining close contact with the Shop Foreman to support personnel. Ensuring quality control inspections and road tests are completed post repairs, and ensuring adherence to warranty policies and procedures are key aspects of this role. You will also be responsible for assigning jobs according to technician/team skillset and workload requirements, managing team goals, metrics, KPI's, and work volume. Additionally, you will effectively coach, give performance feedback, and provide development opportunities within your area of responsibility or department, and assist with employee evaluations and goal setting. You will perform all other duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Master Certified
  • Experienced in service principles, concepts and service department operations
  • Reviewing and improving processes, methods, and tools to increase efficiency and accuracy
  • Valid Driver’s License with a clean record
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills, with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong leadership skills: Keeps people and purpose front and center as they make daily decisions
  • Understands how team’s work ties in with the organization’s vision and purpose
