About The Position

The Keyholder supports store managers with daily operations, sales, and operational standards while helping ensure customers receive outstanding service. The role includes supporting employees, completing opening and closing routines, leading by example, and teaching and training staff. The Keyholder also shares information about fashion, events, gift cards, rewards, and the mailing list; helps keep selling floors and stockrooms organized; and completes inventory processes, including checking in and accurately ticketing merchandise.

Requirements

• High level of ownership, accountability, and initiative.
• Ability to identify customer-benefiting opportunities, develop solutions, and resolve issues.
• Ability to adapt quickly to new store initiatives, concepts, and services.
• Proven success in a fast-paced environment and ability to multitask.
• Basic understanding of technology tools and computer applications such as Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
• Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds, as stated in the role overview.
• Ability to remain in continuous movement for 6–8 hours per shift, with frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, and reaching.
• Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling; ability to handle bulky or awkward items and reach to lift items overhead.
• Physical requirements also specify regularly lifting items up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Support employees in completing operational tasks, procedures, and opening and closing routines.
• Lead by example by pursuing personal and company goals and emphasizing excellent customer service.
• Teach and train employees to support outstanding customer service.
• Inform customers about fashion, upcoming events, Nordstrom gift cards, the Nordstrom Rewards program, and the mailing list.
• Help maintain organized selling floors and stockrooms.
• Complete inventory processes, ensuring merchandise is properly checked in and accurately ticketed.
• Identify opportunities to benefit customers and resolve issues in a way that meets their expectations.
