About The Position

Shoe Mill is looking for someone with retail sales experience who is interested in working a flexible schedule at several of our shoe stores in East Portland. Keyholder is a store leadership position. Employees have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the community, while becoming experts in footwear and foot health. Our Keyholders have the opportunity to share their knowledge with customers and staff, while providing the best level of service possible and leading by example.

Requirements

A year of work experience in retail
Experience in cash handling
Previous retail supervisory experience
Able to ensure customer satisfaction regardless of the circumstances.
Able to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks at once.
Interested in using technology to efficiently and effectively learn our systems and procedures.
Interested in learning about the products that serve our customers best.
Able to identify and solve problems professionally as they arise.

Responsibilities

Opening and closing the store
Merchandising
Store cleanliness and basic maintenance
Maintaining a high level of person sales, setting the pace on the sales floor.
Assisting with staff training and supervision when necessary
Inventory management
Processing and reporting sales transactions
Assist the manager with employee training and development.
Respond to internal and external requests courteously and efficiently.

Benefits

Training rate of $18.00 per hour
10% commissions based on net sales, with no cap on earnings
Guaranteed hourly rate for this position
