About The Position

This Key Accounts Manager (KAM) role is built for someone who wants to own and grow strategic retail partnerships—not just maintain them. You’ll lead relationships with off-premise accounts across Michigan, developing and executing chain-level strategies that drive distribution, share, and long-term growth. This is a highly visible, customer-facing role where your ability to influence decisions and deliver results directly impacts market performance. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
  • 3+ years of key account sales experience within CPG or alcohol beverage, including managing corporate/HQ relationships
  • Proven track record of driving growth through chain-level strategy, execution, and customer influence
  • Ability to manage priorities independently, travel regularly, and work flexible hours, including nights/weekends

Nice To Haves

  • Experience managing regional or national off-premise accounts (grocery, c-store, or large format retail)
  • Direct experience in the spirits or beverage alcohol industry
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen with experience using data to inform account strategies

Responsibilities

  • Own and grow relationships with key account decision-makers, building joint business plans that drive distribution and volume
  • Develop and execute chain-specific strategies across pricing, promotions, and assortment to accelerate share growth
  • Track performance using KPIs and data tools, holding partners accountable and adjusting plans to deliver results
  • Partner with distributors and internal teams to ensure best-in-class execution of national and regional priorities
  • Bring forward market insights, trends, and opportunities to continuously strengthen account strategies
