About The Position

Bayer is seeking a knowledgeable and passionate Key Account Specialist to join our Ophthalmology team in the Downtown Toronto Territory. This role requires a strong understanding of Ophthalmology and the ability to engage with healthcare practitioners and stakeholders through various channels, including Face to Face and digital. The ideal candidate will build strategic partnerships with healthcare practitioners, and their clinics, across their territory and will implement customer-focused initiatives to build Bayer’s leadership in Ophthalmology.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3-5 years of pharmaceutical sales experience.
  • Proven track record of key account management and project management
  • Strong business acumen and ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Positive attitude; active team player in a cross-functional team, with excellent collaboration and communication skills, demonstrating a strong learning agility
  • Continually seeks feedback from peers to improve business outcomes
  • High level of business integrity and ethics
  • Foster an inclusive environment of professionalism and safe working practices ensuring Safety and Compliance requirements are met or exceeded within Squad.
  • Ensure full compliance with company procedure by promptly reporting within 24 hours all adverse events, product quality or product technical complaints, and any other safety-related information
  • Must possess a valid G drivers license

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert knowledge and support for healthcare practitioners interested in Ophthalmology to bring value to our customers and their patients
  • Build strategic plans for your territory to achieve outcomes and maximize the use of resources aimed at driving success of Eylea HD
  • Engage HCPs through multiple channels including face to face, phone calls, emails, and in-person meetings, ensuring a seamless and positive customer experience
  • Complete call entry daily to enable omnichannel functionality
  • Identify and build relationships with key stakeholders in the territory including HCPs, pharmacists, nurses and support staff
  • Collaborate & connect within Bayer to share insights, feedback and support cross-functional collaboration
  • Adhere to all requirements and Code of Conduct as directed by IMC and Bayer policy guidelines
  • Integrate an omnichannel approach by effectively utilizing a variety of communication platforms and tools, ensuring a cohesive and integrated experience
  • Build trust and be inclusive
  • Build strong relationships with various internal and external stakeholders
  • Work within a squad structure, engaging in 90-day cycles to set objectives, assess progress, and adapt strategies to drive continuous improvement and achieve impactful results
