POSITION SUMMARY Partner and support wholesale distributors and independent grocery retailers with planning promotional activity, selling new products, and merchandising.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent or three (3) years of related sales experience
Excellent computer skills (MS Office)
Excellent communication skills a necessity
Must be self-motivated, have a good work ethic, be dependable and organized
Must possess exceptional people skills and the ability to follow projects to completion

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
Nielsen Product Analysis
Two (2) years’ experience in Food Industry
Direct experience driving mix and margin of meat sales in an independent retail sales environment
Experience presenting data to new and prospective customers

Responsibilities

Responsible for annual volume / profit objectives and additional goals as defined
Create sales programs and make presentations to customers within area
Manage existing accounts; ensure product flow and service levels meet or exceed customer contract and/or expectations; troubleshoot and resolve customer issues; develop relationships with key personnel with assigned accounts
Manage and direct multiple brokers - assign annual Sales and P&L objectives
Responsible for managing Trade Spend - promotions and pricing
Work with Syndicated Market data and Marketing department to create sales opportunities
Responsible for store calls, periodic price checking and slotting for Bar-S Foods Co. and competitor products
Other duties as assigned
