About the Role: As a Key Account Manager, you'll serve as the primary relationship manager for a portfolio of our most significant client accounts. You'll partner closely with business leaders to help them navigate employee benefits, evaluate plan options, prepare for renewals, and address complex issues that impact their employees and organizations. This role combines strategic account management with hands-on client support, requiring someone who can build trust, communicate effectively, and deliver proactive solutions. You'll work closely with carriers, clients, and internal teams to ensure an exceptional client experience while helping organizations maximize the value of their benefits programs. This role requires a valid Ohio Health & Life Insurance license; or the ability to quickly obtain one.

  • Independent & Accountable: You can work independently, take ownership of your tasks, and know when to loop in your team for support.
  • Valid Ohio Health & Life Insurance license; or the ability to quickly obtain one.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned key accounts, building strong relationships with client leadership and stakeholders.
  • Lead benefit renewal discussions, helping clients evaluate options and make informed decisions regarding their benefits strategy.
  • Provide guidance and support on employee benefit programs, carrier offerings, and industry trends.
  • Collaborate with carriers and internal teams to resolve complex client concerns and ensure timely service delivery.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen client relationships through additional services, products, and strategic recommendations.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients to understand their goals, anticipate needs, and deliver proactive support.
  • Manage account activity, documentation, and follow-up while ensuring a high level of responsiveness and accountability.
  • Contribute to process improvements and client experience initiatives that support long-term client retention and growth.
