Exempt, Grade 15 Sales Incentive Program (SIP) eligible We are seeking a skilled Key Account Manager to support and expand industrial water treatment programs for customers in the El Paso, Texas region. This role combines technical expertise, relationship management, and commercial strategy to deliver Solenis’ value to customers across refineries, chemical plants, manufacturing facilities, and other industrial sites. The Key Account Manager will be responsible for ensuring optimal performance of customer treatment programs, driving revenue retention and growth, and serving as a trusted advisor on cooling, boiler, and wastewater system optimization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (equivalent experience may be considered)
  • 5+ years of experience in industrial water treatment involving cooling towers, boilers, or wastewater systems
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to troubleshoot feed equipment, sensors, valves, and controllers
  • Proven ability to manage customer relationships and deliver strong account retention
  • Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and organizational skills
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

  • Experience leading teams within chemical plants, refineries, or heavy industrial facilities
  • Success managing high‑value accounts or multi‑site customer portfolios
  • Proven sales experience growing water treatment business
  • Experience working within customer safety programs such as LOTO, confined space, or contractor onboarding systems

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the account team to steward the business relationship and execute on the scope of work for the site(s) you have responsibility for program management
  • Conduct routine testing, monitoring, and troubleshooting for cooling, boiler, and wastewater treatment systems
  • Optimize chemical programs to improve system performance, asset protection, and operational reliability
  • Troubleshoot feed systems, pumps, controllers, and monitoring equipment
  • Conduct audits, system surveys, and performance evaluations to drive continuous improvement
  • Build strong, long‑term relationships with operations, engineering, reliability, and procurement teams
  • Identify new business opportunities within existing accounts and develop value‑driven proposals
  • Present technical reports, KPIs, business reviews, and program recommendations clearly and professionally
  • Collaborate with customers to address performance issues, implement corrective actions, and strengthen partnership value through continuous improvement
  • Manage account revenue, pricing execution, and contract performance
  • Deliver targeted growth through consultative selling and program expansion both at primary account as well as other market opportunities
  • Support inventory management, chemical ordering, and coordination of on‑site service requirements
  • Partner with internal Solenis teams to ensure timely delivery, high service quality, and customer satisfaction
  • Maintain a safe driving record
  • Model and reinforce Solenis’ safety culture across all customer locations
  • Ensure compliance with customer safety protocols, environmental regulations, and Solenis standards
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of service activities, audit findings, and program performance
  • Maintain up-to-date safety training requirements per both Solenis and specific customer requirements
