About The Position

The Key Account Manager – Power Transmission is a customer-facing role responsible for leading Grid Solutions activities for the Power Transmission business line across assigned customer accounts and sales territories. This role oversees overall account strategy and relationship management, with a focus on driving growth and achieving broader business objectives. Grid Solutions, a part of GE Vernova, serves customers globally with over 12,000 employees. We provide power utilities and industries worldwide with equipment, systems, and services to bring electricity reliably and efficiently from the point of generation to end users. We are focused on addressing the challenges of the energy transition by enabling the safe and reliable connection of renewable and distributed energy resources to the grid.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in a relevant field required, electrical or mechanical engineering preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a sales, account management, proposal development, business development, or product management.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the electrical, utility or a related industry.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with key customer decision-makers.
  • Ability to travel approximately 25%, primarily within assigned accounts and sales territories, with occasional travel to domestic U.S. and international manufacturing locations.

  • Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead commercial activities for the Power Transmission business line across assigned customer accounts and sales territories.
  • Develop and execute commercial strategies for Power Transmission products and services, including power and distribution transformers, high-voltage circuit breakers, disconnectors and instrument transformers, power quality and power sensing devices, and related services.
  • Develop account plans to support execution of commercial strategies and achievement of sales objectives.
  • Collaborate with product line teams and external manufacturers’ sales representatives to achieve order intake objectives.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with key customer decision-makers in support of account strategies.
  • Maintain accurate forecasts of orders, margins, and sales for assigned customer accounts using the Salesforce CRM application.
  • Facilitate and support cash and receivables management activities for assigned customer accounts.
  • Provide feedback regarding market trends, pricing and competition to product line marketing.
  • Perform periodic account reviews with leadership.
  • Travel regularly to customer locations.
