Chiesi Global Rare Diseases is a business unit established in February 2020, focused on the research, development, and commercialization of treatments and patient support services for rare and ultra-rare disorders. This unit is based in Boston, Massachusetts, with synergy with the headquarters in Parma. The rare unit focuses on lysosomal storage diseases, rare hematology, ophthalmology disorders, and rare immunodeficiencies, and partners with global leaders in scientific research, patient advocacy, and care. This role is seeking a Key Account Manager (KAM) who is a competitive, pharmaceutical sales professional with integrity, drive, and passion for performance, capable of thriving in a fast-paced business environment. The KAM must have experience with strategic account management, identifying opportunities through local market intelligence gathering and effective data analysis. The KAM will represent the company to healthcare professionals, including prescribers and their staff, focusing on meeting and exceeding sales goals to ensure appropriate patients are prescribed the company's medication. The KAM will provide product, disease state, and resource education to HCPs and their staff to expand the identification and treatment of appropriate patients. The KAM will report to the Regional Sales Director (RSD) and collaborate with peer salespeople and a cross-functional team to ensure the marketplace understands clinical data, payer access information, and company resources to support prescribing, initiation, and continuity of therapy. This role is critical to Chiesi's goal of becoming a leading global rare disease company and requires excellent customer engagement and communication skills, strategic planning and execution, clinical expertise, collaboration, consistent compliant behaviors, and a commitment to patients and their families.
