About The Position

The Key Account Manager (KAM) is responsible for creating and implementing account strategies and developing long-term partnerships with our most trusted customers in hospitals, provincial procurement groups, as well as health system administrators within the governmental space. Partnering with members of the Johnson & Johnson MedTech (JJMT) Sales & Marketing teams, the KAM will enable positive business outcomes for the Electrophysiology portfolio across key customers. The KAM will utilize their strong leadership skills to effectively align internal team members to meet account specific objectives. Identifying and leading key business opportunities with the customer facing teams in Quebec, the KAM will increase our competitive advantage in the region at targeted strategic hospitals by leveraging strong relationships with procurement, clinical stakeholders, policy makers and Health System administrators across the province.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6-8 years of Sales Leadership &/or Key Account Management
  • Demonstrated success in Key Account Management, with proven record of successful implementation and execution
  • Background and understanding of the Canadian and regional healthcare system, GPO/SSO/procurement landscape, patient and payment pathways, digital asset adoption, and relevant regulations.
  • University degree in business or science.
  • Bi-lingual (French/English) is required for Quebec
  • Uses appropriate analysis and tools to critically examine information, recognize trends, and make informed decisions/recommendations
  • Ability to translate healthcare environment knowledge into effective and executable commercial strategies
  • Acts as an ambassador for JJMT, its vision and values that achieves patient focus at all levels of the business
  • Anticipates customer requirements and aligns internal resources to ensure business opportunities are met in a way that adds value
  • Focuses externally, analyzing market forces and market access dynamics to position JJMT to better capitalize on business opportunities

Responsibilities

  • Identify target accounts and growth opportunities by integrating portfolio strategies and customer insights.
  • Actively engages relevant business partners (marketing, sales, contracts, finance, legal, HCC), aligning on key priorities that will develop long term, sustainable, value-based partnerships.
  • Facilitates the integration of customer insights into the development of strategic account plans.
  • Develops sustainable strategic relationships with leaders at identified hospitals to maximize effectiveness in the account, driving growth and ultimately positioning JJMT as the preferred and trusted partner in the delivery of innovative technologies and solutions that enhance patient care.
  • Demonstrates a consultative and interactive approach in engaging customers to facilitate and achieve results, i.e., follows up on customer interactions and commitments, effectively positions emerging technologies and solutions to meet unmet health system and patient needs.
  • Applies advanced negotiating techniques and incorporates a consultative approach, compliantly implementing measurable short and long-term value that leads to mutually beneficial outcomes.

  • Ensures executional excellence by taking a comprehensive, systematic approach to provide guidance through solutioning and enable quick wins and learnings to be incorporated into evolving plans.

  • Leverage knowledge of the healthcare environment, emerging patient pathways, marketplace, and competitive landscape to identify future market forces and develop partner networks to effectively position JJMT as the partner of choice.
  • Shape and influence regional healthcare procurement by advocating for a focus on health and economic outcomes from JJMT innovations.
  • Shape the provincial procurement landscape to ensure sustainable competitive advantage, innovative procurement policies, and innovation adoption.
  • Prepare the market and help launch new, innovative technologies.

Benefits

  • The expected base pay range for this position is $94,000 to $162,150 CAD.
