About The Position

Allied Universal Enhanced Protection Services is hiring a Kennel Technician for its canine group. The role supports the care of canines and the operation of kennel and food-preparation areas. Duties include transporting personnel and canines, providing logistical and report support, caring for canines, and maintaining the kennel and training facilities.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Be a U.S. citizen.
Possess, or be able to obtain, at least a Moderate Risk Public Trust (MRPT) clearance.
Valid driver's license.
Knowledge of traffic and safety regulations, practices, and procedures related to operating motor vehicles, as well as passenger safety rules.
Ability to read installation maps to determine the shortest and safest route.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
Availability to care for kenneled canines on weekends and holidays.
No prior work experience is required.

Prior professional work experience caring for canines.

Responsibilities

Manage logistical support for transporting personnel and canines to and from predetermined locations.
Drive and transport personnel and canines around the Northern Virginia region.
Provide log reports and incident reports.
Assist with minor maintenance, cleaning, and inventory.
Feed, walk, exercise, and bathe canines as needed.
Administer medications as indicated by veterinary personnel.
Bring canines to and from the kennel before, during, and after training.
Clean up after canines inside and outside the facility and clean canine kennels.
Maintain the training and kennel facility, including sweeping and mopping floors, wiping counters, taking out trash, cleaning bathrooms, and checking equipment and supplies.
Assist other staff members with tasks such as preparing training floors or canine food.
