About The Position
Mission Valley Pet Clinic is seeking a dependable, compassionate Kennel Technician to join their dedicated team. The clinic has proudly served the Allied Gardens community for over 30 years and is a trusted, long-standing small animal general practice focused on providing high-quality care and building lasting relationships with clients and their pets. As a Kennel Technician, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the comfort, cleanliness, and safety of patients during their stay. This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who loves animals, takes pride in their work, and thrives in a busy, team-focused environment.
Requirements
- Comfortable handling dogs and cats of all sizes and temperaments
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs and be on your feet for most of the shift
- Weekends and Holidays are a must.
Responsibilities
- Feeding and monitoring the well-being of pets in our care
- Maintaining a clean, sanitary, and organized kennel and hospital environment
- Bathing pets and assisting with basic grooming as needed
- Assisting veterinary staff with patient handling and restraint
- Monitoring for signs of illness or stress and reporting to medical staff
- Providing compassionate, gentle handling to all animals
