About The Position

Petal Animal Clinic is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and hands-on Kennel Technician to provide exceptional daily care and maintain a clean, safe environment for boarding pets. This role is essential to the health, comfort, and happiness of our boarding pets and contributes to the overall success of the veterinary team. As a Kennel Technician, you will play a vital part in our patients’ daily care and well-being. Responsibilities include providing daily boarding care (feeding, walking, cleaning, monitoring), maintaining clean, sanitary, and safe kennel areas, bathing and performing basic grooming services (nail trims, ear cleanings, anal gland expression), assisting veterinary staff with safe pet handling and comfort support, monitoring pets for changes in behavior or health and promptly reporting concerns, and treating every pet as if they were your own. This is an active, fast-paced position that requires physical stamina, strong attention to detail, and a genuine love for animals.

Requirements

Compassionate, dependable, and energized by hands-on work with animals
Comfortable around dogs and cats of all sizes and temperaments
Willingness to clean (sanitation is a major part of this role)
Ability to be on your feet most of the day
Ability to lift and handle pets and equipment safely
Ability to work as part of a team
Dependability and flexibility are essential
