About The Position

The Kennel Technician position is a part-time role focused on animal care within a veterinary practice. The ideal candidate will have reliable transportation, flexibility to work weekends and holidays, excellent customer service and communication skills, and a genuine love for animals. This role requires the ability to work as a team player, be punctual, and reliable. It is a physically demanding job involving restraining, handling, lifting, and carrying patients of various sizes, as well as lifting food and other heavy items.

Responsibilities

Feeding, medicating, walking, cleaning, and monitoring patients and their spaces.
Handling and properly/gently restraining large patients and nervous/anxious/upset patients.
Maintaining cleanliness and tidiness of the kennel, front and back yards (poop scooping/picking up litter), the lobby, and other areas of the hospital.
Bathing animals.
Assisting technicians with kennel patients or treatment needs as needed.
Managing kennel supplies, including food, cleaning supplies, and inventory.
Organizing patient information in the kennel, including belongings, feeding instructions, and medication instructions.
