The Kennel Technician provides compassionate care for animals by feeding, cleaning, exercising, and monitoring their health and behavior. This role supports veterinarians, veterinary technicians, and other staff by maintaining a clean facility and ensuring the well-being of all animals in care. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous experience working with animals is an asset but not always required.
Ability to safely handle dogs and cats of various sizes and temperaments.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Dependable, compassionate, and detail-oriented.
Basic knowledge of animal behavior and health is preferred.

Responsibilities

Feed and provide fresh water to animals according to established schedules.
Clean and sanitize kennels, cages, runs, litter boxes, and animal living areas.
Monitor animals for signs of illness, injury, or unusual behavior and report concerns to supervisors.
Administer medications as instructed.
Assist with animal restraint during examinations and treatments.
Wash bedding, dishes, and equipment.
Maintain accurate records of feeding, medication, and animal care activities.
Follow all safety, sanitation, and animal handling procedures.
