About The Position

Acorn Valley Pet Boarding is looking for a friendly, reliable Kennel Customer Service Representative (CSR) to join their team. This role offers the opportunity to work with both pets and people, serving as the welcoming face of the facility. The CSR will help pet owners feel confident in leaving their pets in care and will also support the day-to-day needs of the animals. Acorn Valley's mission is to provide compassionate, high-quality care and create a safe, clean, and fun environment for every pet.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in customer service, sales, or reception (required)
  • Strong communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanor
  • Ability to build rapport and create a positive client experience
  • Calm and confident approach when interacting with animals
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy environment
  • Ability to Maintain a professional presence, including communication, appearance, and conduct
  • A team player with a strong work ethic

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with animals or in a kennel setting (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Welcoming clients and checking pets in and out for boarding and grooming
  • Answering phones, scheduling appointments, and responding to inquiries
  • Entering and updating client and pet information in our system
  • Providing information about services and helping clients feel confident in their pet’s care
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming environment
  • Assisting with basic animal care tasks such as walking, feeding, and cleaning as needed
  • Helping restrain or bathe animals when required
