Veterinary Associates of Murfreesboro is searching for an attentive, compassionate, and dependable Kennel Attendant to join our team! Requirements
- Previous animal care experience preferred
- Genuine passion for animal care and welfare
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Positive attitude and willingness to support the team
- Ability to stay organized and multitask in a busy environment
- Dependability and strong work ethic
- Physical ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds without assistance
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Responsibilities
- Transport animals to and from kennel areas safely and compassionately
- Ensure pets have continuous access to fresh food and water
- Clean kennels and maintain a sanitary hospital environment
- Dispose of trash and maintain cleanliness throughout the facility
- Groom, exercise, and assist with treatments under veterinary supervision
- Accompany pets on walks and provide comfort and enrichment
- Calm and comfort anxious or distressed animals
- Monitor facility conditions to maintain animal comfort and safety
- Report significant changes in patient condition to veterinary staff
- Assist with emergency procedures and animal evacuations if needed
