About The Position

Bayside Animal Hospital is looking for a compassionate and dependable Kennel Attendant to join our team! Kennel team members play an essential role in providing proper daily care for our hospitalized and boarding patients while helping maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming hospital environment. This is a great opportunity for someone who genuinely enjoys working with animals and wants to build hands-on experience in veterinary medicine while being part of a supportive and collaborative team. Whether you’re helping care for boarding pets, assisting with patient comfort, or supporting hospital cleanliness, your work will directly impact the health and well-being of the pets in our care.

  • Must be at least 16 years old
  • Ability to lift and carry animals, supplies, and food bags with assistance when needed

Nice To Haves

  • Animal care experience is a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate daily care for boarding and hospitalized patients
  • Feed pets and monitor appetites and behavior
  • Clean and sanitize cages, runs, litter boxes, food and water bowls, and hospital areas
  • Bathe and brush patients as needed
  • Maintain laundry for the kennel and hospital
  • Help maintain hospital cleanliness and organization throughout the day
  • Assist doctors and technicians with patient restraint and medication administration as directed
  • Collect urine and fecal samples when needed
  • Monitor patients and report unusual behavior or medical concerns to the veterinary team
  • Help maintain hospital grounds and assist with light facility upkeep
  • Follow daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning and maintenance protocols
