Part-Time Kennel Assistant

VCA Animal Hospitals•Springfield, MO

About The Position

VCA Parkcrest Animal Hospital is seeking a compassionate, enthusiastic Part-Time Kennel Assistant to support its boarding team. The hospital is a busy, AAHA-accredited, five-doctor small animal hospital serving Springfield and the surrounding Ozarks since the late 1960s. Its boarding facility is part of the veterinary hospital, with a medical team nearby, a large play yard, indoor and outdoor dog runs, and three-level condos for cats. The Kennel Assistant helps keep boarding animals happy, healthy, clean, and comfortable throughout their stay. This is an active, hands-on position involving cleaning, lifting, walking, laundry, and extended time on your feet. The work can be busy and messy. The position averages 8–20 hours per week, and schedule flexibility is important because boarding guests need care every day. Coverage may be needed during busy boarding periods, holidays, or when teammates are away. Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
