About The Position

The Part-Time Kennel Assistant helps provide patient care and client service in a fast-paced, multi-doctor animal hospital. The role is responsible for back-of-hospital duties, including caring for boarding animals, following feeding schedules, administering prescribed medication to pets, maintaining and cleaning the kennel area, and bathing animals. Additional duties may include general hospital cleaning and direct communication with clients. Regular on-site attendance is an essential function to support patient care, time-sensitive needs, collaboration with clinical teams, and the safety and well-being of patients, clients, and staff. Have prior customer service experience.
Have prior experience working with animals in a hospital setting.
Be able to work in a wet environment.
Be able to maintain regular on-site attendance.

Responsibilities

Care for boarding animals.
Maintain appropriate feeding schedules and provide prescribed medication to pets.
Maintain the kennel area, including cleaning and mopping.
Bathe animals and uphold a high standard of care for pets.
Perform general hospital cleaning as needed.
Communicate directly with clients as needed.
