About The Position

Bellevue Animal Hospital is seeking a Kennel Assistant to help maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, clients, and staff. The role focuses on janitorial and housekeeping duties, including sanitizing kennels, common spaces, and treatment areas and keeping them stocked with supplies. It is suited to a self-driven, detail-oriented, organized, and reliable person who enjoys cleaning and can contribute to a team-focused environment in a fast-paced setting. Prior veterinary experience is not required, but candidates should be excited about the veterinary industry and committed to a career in veterinary medicine with ongoing training. This is a full- or part-time position with a flexible schedule and availability needed Monday through Friday. Weekend work is not required. The posting lists compensation of $18–$21 per hour. Bellevue Animal Hospital is a seven-doctor general practice serving dogs and cats in the Eastside since 1955. Its services include wellness exams, dental care, surgery, ultrasound, laser therapy, and nutritional counseling. The hospital has a renovated facility, diagnostic tools, multiple LVTs, and a support staff, and uses a Fear Free approach to patient care.

Requirements

At least 1 year of kennel or animal-handling experience.
Commitment to a career in veterinary medicine and ongoing training.
Comfort with janitorial and housekeeping duties.
Ability to administer oral medications.
Comfort walking dogs.
Reliability, friendliness, organization, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
