Responsibilities
- Follow written and verbal instructions carefully
- Pay close attention to details when caring for animals
- Maintain clean and sanitary kennel and hospital spaces
- Clean and disinfect work areas to help prevent the spread of germs
- Walk dogs outdoors
- Maintain and scoop outdoor yard areas
- Observe pets and pay attention to their behavior and well-being
- Medicate animals as directed
- Safely assist with animal restraint
- Ask for help when you need it and offer help when teammates need you
- Take ownership of assigned tasks and responsibilities
- Look for productive ways to help during slower periods
- Help keep kennel areas organized and ready for incoming boarders
- Dress appropriately for changing weather conditions
- Provide attentive, compassionate care to every animal
- Tolerate—and preferably enjoy—puppy kisses and kitty headbutts
