About The Position

We are seeking a part-time Kennel Assistant to help provide outstanding patient care and client service in a fast-paced, multi-doctor animal hospital. The role maintains back-of-hospital duties, including caring for boarding animals, following feeding schedules and providing prescribed medication, maintaining and cleaning the kennel area, bathing animals, and upholding a high standard of care for all pets. Additional duties may include general hospital cleaning and communicating directly with clients. The position requires regular on-site attendance to support patient care, respond to time-sensitive needs, collaborate with clinical teams, and maintain the safety and well-being of patients, clients, and staff. Requirements

Prior customer service experience.
Prior experience working with animals in a hospital setting.
Ability to lift 40 pounds.
Ability to work in a wet environment.
Professionalism, dependability, positive communication, and ability to multitask in a hands-on environment.
Strong work ethic and social and organizational skills; compassionate and caring approach.
Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
Self-starter who can complete daily tasks without constant direction.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends.
Regular on-site presence is an essential function of the role.

Responsibilities

Care for boarding animals.
Maintain appropriate feeding schedules and provide prescribed medication to pets.
Clean and maintain the kennel area, including cleaning and mopping.
Bathe animals and uphold a high level of care for pets.
Perform general hospital cleaning as needed.
Communicate directly with clients as needed.
Be present on-site to support patient care, time-sensitive needs, clinical-team collaboration, and safety.
