Kennel Assistant (3) - Mercy Veterinary Hospital and Pet Resort
About The Position
The Kennel Assistant is the primary caregiver for boarding and daycare pets, providing food, exercise, attention, and a comfortable, safe stay. The role includes observing animals’ behavior and habits and promptly notifying the medical team of unusual health concerns. The assistant maintains cleanliness and sanitation throughout the resort, including kennel areas, runs, and outside grounds, and supports smooth operations by managing food and cleaning-supply inventory and collaborating with the team. This is a full-time, on-site position at Mercy Veterinary Hospital and Pet Resort in Leander, Texas. The listed base pay is $15 per hour.
Requirements
- Genuine love for animals and commitment to their welfare.
- Reliable and hardworking, with the ability to manage tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and good judgment.
- Ability to handle stressful situations with composure.
- Physical capacity to lift more than 50 pounds and perform the duties of a physically active role.
- Flexible schedule, including some weekends and holidays.
