This position implements and assists in menu creation, ordering, production logs, and preparing a variety of foods for the men’s and women’s basketball team/staff. The role involves leading daily food production, accommodating recruit visits, producing pre-game meals, and arranging special meals that cater to the constantly evolving schedule of MSU athletics. The role is busy with recruit visits from June to November and requires working at least every other weekend during the regular season (October-March) when there are weekend games. Mealtimes during this period can change daily, requiring flexibility for accommodation. The position will be required to open and/or close depending on operational needs, with operating hours ranging from 6 am to 10 pm. Occasional split shifts may be required for operational needs. All positions in RHS are designated as critical status, meaning employees are expected to make all reasonable attempts to report to work during university closures or emergency conditions. If an employee has an approved remote work agreement, they may be called upon to work on-site during such events.
