About The Position
Provide high quality aquatics-based opportunities for all Guests while fostering an environment of fun and creating memories that will last a lifetime.
Requirements
- Minimum age: 18+
- Willing to become a registered Scouting America member (includes background screening)
- Comfortable using Microsoft Teams for daily work-related communication
- Ability to stand, walk, swim, and paddle up to 8 hours daily
- Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds
- Complete the Annual Health and Medical Record , including height/weight guidelines
Nice To Haves
- Previous boating experience recommended
Responsibilities
- Teach aquatics-based merit badges and lessons
- Present in front of group sizes of 2-20 youth and transfer knowledge
- Assist with the set-up, maintenance and take down of program areas
- Turn in advancement paperwork to supervisor in a timely manner
- Provide First Aid in the event of participant or staff injuries
- Model the Scout Oath and Law in daily interactions
- Maintain a clean, organized, inspected, neat, and safe work area
- Perform additional duties assigned by SBR leadership
- Abide by policies and procedures outlined in the SBR staff handbook
