About The Position
TeachMe.To is the leading peer-to-peer lessons marketplace, on a mission to connect independent Kayak coaches in Westwood, CA with aspiring students. Our flexible model lets you set your own schedule, define your rates, and work with motivated students ready to learn. Kayaking is a popular, accessible paddlesport across the US, spanning calm-water recreation, sea touring, and whitewater. Our top kayak coaches earn $40–$90+/hr and build recurring, seasonal student bases through our platform. We are seeking skilled and dedicated Kayak Coaches in Westwood, CA to join our dynamic platform.
Requirements
- 2+ years of kayaking instruction or guiding experience (flatwater, sea/touring, or whitewater).
- Current CPR/First Aid and water-rescue judgment; command of strokes, bracing, and rescue/self-rescue.
- Excellent communication skills to engage, motivate, and effectively teach students of all levels.
Nice To Haves
- Instructor certification preferred (ACA Kayak Instructor or equivalent) — not required.
