About The Position

FAT Karting League is hiring a Kart Mechanic to maintain and prepare its fleet of electric race karts and support its competitive karting program for drivers aged 6–17. The position combines workshop work during the week with trackside responsibilities at live race events. The mechanic will diagnose and repair issues under race conditions, help with event logistics and equipment setup, and keep karts prepared to a high standard. The role involves regular weekend travel to events across Texas, with possible out-of-state travel during periods when racing is not taking place in Texas. Requirements

• At least 1 year of mechanical experience with karts, cars, motorbikes, or similar.
• Ability to work in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Genuine passion for motorsport.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and prepare a fleet of electric race karts.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues under race conditions.
• Support kart operations at live events across Texas and sometimes farther afield.
• Assist with event logistics and equipment setup.
• Ensure karts are race-ready to a high standard at all times.
