About The Position

Belle Creek Charter School (BCCS) is seeking K-8 Substitute Teachers for the 2026-2027 school year. BCCS is a tuition-free, Core Knowledge school in Henderson, Colorado, dedicated to academic excellence, character development, and fostering a love of learning. As a high-achieving public charter school, BCCS offers a structured, content-rich curriculum and a collaborative, supportive teaching environment. We utilize the Orton-Gillingham approach in K-3 for literacy foundations aligned with the Science of Reading. Requirements

• A valid Colorado Department of Education teaching license or substitute authorization.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced educational setting.
• Ability and interest to be part of a high-functioning team.
• Ability and interest to learn continuously and to adapt to changing circumstances.
• A belief in empowering all children as owners of their learning.

Responsibilities

• Manage classroom instruction and routines in the absence of the regular teacher.
• Deliver prepared lesson plans and maintain instructional momentum.
• Support student learning and engagement through effective classroom management strategies.
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback when needed.
• Collaborate and communicate with school staff to ensure a smooth instructional day.
• Adapt quickly to different classrooms, grade levels, and subject areas as needed.
• Play a critical role in maintaining educational continuity and creating a positive learning environment for all students.
