About The Position

The Middle School Teacher provides rigorous, subject-specific instruction for grades K–8, fostering academic excellence and personal growth during a critical developmental stage. Global Educational Excellence (GEE) operates a network of charter schools across Southeast Michigan focused on academic achievement and community. Requirements

Bachelor's degree required
Valid Michigan teaching certificate with appropriate subject-area endorsement (grades K–8), or eligibility for certification through the Michigan State Board of Education
Satisfactory criminal background check

Nice To Haves

Candidates who do not yet hold a Michigan teaching certificate may qualify through enrollment in GEE's Career Advancement Program (CAP), which provides a supported pathway to Michigan certification. CAP eligibility is determined at the time of application.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver aligned, differentiated instruction in the assigned subject area
Use data and formative assessments to drive daily instructional decisions
Implement tiered instructional supports to meet diverse learner needs
Cultivate a disciplined, respectful, and academically focused classroom environment
Coordinate planning within subject-area and grade-level teams
Communicate student progress to families, counselors, and administrators
Participate in professional development, collaborative planning, and staff meetings
