K-8 Classroom Aide
About The Position
St. Raphael the Archangel Catholic School is seeking a dedicated and compassionate K–8 Classroom Aide to support teachers in fostering a positive, faith-based learning environment. The Classroom Aide assists with instructional support, classroom management, and student engagement across grade levels, helping to promote academic success, social development, and Catholic values throughout the school community. The K–8 Classroom Aide works under the direction of the classroom teacher and school administration to provide instructional and behavioral support to students in kindergarten through eighth grade. This role involves assisting with daily classroom activities, preparing materials, monitoring student progress, and helping maintain an organized and respectful classroom environment rooted in Catholic teachings.

- Successful completion of pre-employment screening including criminal background check, Family Care Safety Registration, drug screen, employment and educational licensure/certification verification, and health screening.
Responsibilities
- Assist teachers in delivering instructional activities and reinforcing lesson concepts in small groups or one-on-one settings
- Support classroom management by supervising students and promoting positive behavior
- Prepare, organize, and distribute instructional materials and classroom resources
- Provide additional support to students with diverse learning needs
- Monitor student work and provide feedback under the supervision of the teacher
- Assist with transitions, including arrival, dismissal, recess, and lunch duty
- Maintain a clean, safe, and structured classroom environment
- Support the integration of Catholic values and faith-based practices in daily activities
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to meet student needs and classroom goals
- Perform clerical tasks such as grading, copying, filing, and recordkeeping as needed
