Job Summary St. Louis Catholic Academy is seeking a K–8 Art Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. The teacher is responsible for providing art instruction aligned with Archdiocesan curriculum standards while supporting the mission and philosophy of Catholic education.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Art Education or related field
- Missouri teaching certification (or eligibility to obtain)
- Experience teaching elementary and/or middle school preferred
- Familiarity with Catholic education preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide art instruction to students in Kindergarten through Grade 8
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lessons
- Introduce students to a variety of art techniques, media, and styles
- Prepare student work for displays, exhibitions, and school events
- Assess student learning and maintain required records
- Maintain a positive and structured learning environment
- Communicate effectively with parents and staff
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school activities
