About The Position

The K–5 Interventionist supports student achievement in both mathematics and literacy through targeted small-group instruction, progress monitoring, and collaboration with teachers and support staff. This position works closely with the RTI team to identify student needs, implement evidence-based interventions, and monitor student growth. The ideal candidate is passionate about accelerating student learning, skilled in data-driven instruction, and committed to building strong relationships with students, families, and staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Valid teaching certification required
  • Knowledge of evidence-based literacy practices, including structured literacy approaches.
  • Strong understanding of RTI/MTSS frameworks and progress monitoring practices.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret student achievement data.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Commitment to educational equity and student-centered instruction.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Experience working with elementary students in intervention, special education, literacy, and/or mathematics instruction preferred.
  • Familiarity with Eureka Squared, Arts & Letters, UFLI, and/or MCLASS preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide targeted intervention services for students in Kindergarten through 5th grade in both mathematics and literacy.
  • Deliver small-group and individualized instruction using evidence-based intervention practices.
  • Implement math intervention aligned to Eureka Squared.
  • Implement literacy intervention aligned to Arts & Letters and UFLI foundations.
  • Utilize MCLASS data and intervention tools to support literacy growth and monitor student progress.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student learning needs.
  • Support students in building confidence, independence, and academic skills.
  • Analyze student performance data from assessments including MCLASS, classroom assessments, and benchmark data.
  • Conduct ongoing progress monitoring and maintain accurate intervention records.
  • Collaborate with teachers and the RTI team to identify students in need of intervention support.
  • Participate in data meetings and contribute to intervention planning and decision-making.
  • Use data to adjust instructional strategies and intervention plans.
  • Partner with classroom teachers to align interventions with core instruction.
  • Collaborate with the RTI team, Special Education team, and school leadership to support student success.
  • Communicate student progress regularly with teachers, families, and relevant staff members.
  • Support school-wide initiatives focused on student achievement and intervention effectiveness.
  • Participate in professional development, team meetings, and school events as required.
  • Build positive and supportive relationships with students and families.
  • Maintain high expectations for student behavior and academic performance.
  • Contribute to a collaborative, student-centered school culture.
  • Uphold school policies, procedures, and professional expectations.
