About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team at Alcona Elementary as a part-time Instructional Coach for grades K-5. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with teachers to enhance instructional practices, improve student outcomes, and foster a positive learning environment. This role involves providing support, resources, and professional development tailored to the unique needs of our educators and students.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Valid teaching certification with experience in K-5 education.
• Proven experience as an instructional coach, mentor, or teacher leader.
• Strong knowledge of instructional strategies, curriculum development, and assessment practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to analyze data and use it to inform instructional practices.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Commitment to professional growth and a passion for supporting educators and students.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with teachers to identify areas for instructional improvement and develop targeted strategies to enhance teaching practices.
• Conduct classroom observations and provide constructive feedback to educators on their instructional methods.
• Facilitate professional development workshops and training sessions focused on best practices in K-5 education.
• Assist teachers in integrating technology and innovative teaching strategies into their lesson plans.
• Support the implementation of curriculum initiatives and instructional programs aligned with state standards.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging reflective practices among staff.
• Maintain open lines of communication with teachers, administrators, and stakeholders to ensure a cohesive approach to instruction.
• Monitor and assess the effectiveness of instructional strategies and provide data-driven recommendations for improvement.
• Stay current with educational research and trends to inform coaching practices and professional development offerings.
