About The Position

MGT is seeking a K-5 Character Education Curriculum Writer to create engaging lesson plans, assessments, and student materials that foster social-emotional learning, ethical decision-making, and positive citizenship. This role is for a US-based, remote position and is classified as Exempt and Full-Time.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, or related field
Familiarity with AI tools and comfort learning new software platforms
Excellent writing skills required
Exceptional attention to detail
Commitment to educational equity
Comfort with project management tools and deadlines
Commitment to organizational mission and inclusion
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to manage, prioritize, and multitask
Ability to navigate ambiguity and meet frequent deadlines
Sense of humor and ability to work in a dynamic environment

Nice To Haves

Strong familiarity with the US K-12 education system preferred
Educational writing experience preferred
Experience (professional, internship, or volunteer) in teaching preferred

Responsibilities

Write and adapt Character Education curriculum and instructional materials (units, lesson plans, assessments, student materials)
Collaborate with subject matter experts, editors, and instructional designers
Incorporate evidence-based best practices in Character Education instruction
Revise materials based on client feedback
Support development of professional learning materials for teachers
Apply knowledge of current trends in Character Education
Integrate innovative strategies and tools to enhance learner engagement
