About The Position

This is a temporary K-2 Special Education role with an Illinois elementary school, where you will provide individualized support to students with a range of learning and developmental needs. This 35-hour-per-week opportunity begins August 11, 2026, and runs through September 23, 2026, with the potential for an extension. The selected teacher will support approximately four students in a primarily self-contained classroom. Some students will spend part of the day in general education settings, with paraprofessional support available.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Special Education, Education, or a related field
• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL)
• LBS1 endorsement
• Strong classroom management skills
• Strong communication skills
• Strong instructional planning skills
• Strong collaboration skills
