About The Position

Tutor Doctor is seeking experienced educators to provide tutoring services to K-12 students in Marin County. Tutors will work with students in reading, math, executive functioning skills, or test prep. Responsibilities include reading and interpreting student assessment results, applying targeted strategies to address learning gaps and strengths, aligning instruction with school curriculum, and tracking student progress. Special education teachers are strongly encouraged to apply due to their expertise in individualized instruction and diverse learning profiles. Tutor Doctor handles client matching, scheduling, and billing, allowing tutors to focus on teaching. Tutors have the flexibility to accept or decline session matches. The service is locally owned and operated, with each tutor match personally overseen by the owner, a credentialed educator with over 20 years of experience in Bay Area schools.

Requirements

Must live in Marin County
Comfortable traveling to different parts of Marin County for student sessions
3+ years of professional teaching or tutoring experience
Bachelor's degree required
Ability to read and act on formal student assessment data
