About The Position

This is a 10-month, non-exempt position for a K-12 Substitute Teacher in a Christian Ministry school. The role requires an individual with a college education diploma and experience teaching in a K-12 environment. Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and common 21st-century classroom technology, are essential. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, organized, a self-starter, and possesses strong interpersonal communication skills. The position also involves administrative tasks such as answering phones, filing, data input, producing documents, ordering supplies, processing invoices, and scheduling meetings. A teaching background with an understanding of classroom management is crucial. The role requires the ability to lift 40 lbs. to shoulder, an Evangelical Christian testimony, and the ability to transition to a K-12 classroom as a substitute. The candidate must be a US citizen living within driving distance of the school.

Requirements

  • College Education diploma
  • Experience teaching in a K-12 environment
  • Strong computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Outlook)
  • Able to operate a personal computer, laptop computer, peripheral computer equipment, photocopier, fax machine, and other office equipment with a high degree of skill.
  • Experience with common 21st century classroom technology
  • Highly motivated with strong organizational skills; able to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Self-starter; able to work independently.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs. to shoulder.
  • Evangelical Christian-Testimony Required
  • Ability to transition to a K-12 classroom as a substitute as needed.
  • US citizen living within driving distance of our location.

Responsibilities

  • Answer phone, receive messages and respond to inquiries by staff, parents, or district patrons.
  • File and sort paperwork.
  • Input data for recordkeeping in multiple software systems.
  • Produce brochures, handbooks, notebooks, flyers, and meeting agendas.
  • Type and/or draft letters of correspondence.
  • Maintain and order supplies; organize storage areas.
  • Process invoices, track expenses and produce expense reports.
  • Schedule and organize meetings or events, coordinate and set up supplies needed for meetings or events.
  • Type or prepare reports, compile data, and distribute information to parties inside and outside the district.
  • Apply classroom management skills.
  • Maintain confidentiality.
  • Attend meetings and training as directed.
  • Present and communicate professionally.
  • Work additional hours or overtime as directed.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
