About The Position

We are seeking a dependable and creative Cook to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for preparing nutritious and appealing meals for residents and staff while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and sanitation. You will also help guide and support Food Service Aides during your shift.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • At least 6 months of food preparation experience preferred (hospital, institutional, or restaurant setting)
  • Ability to read and follow recipes accurately
  • Basic math skills (addition and subtraction)
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Creativity in food preparation and presentation
  • Ability to follow directions and work independently with accountability

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in long-term care or healthcare environments is a plus
  • ServSafe Food Protection Manager certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and dietary guidelines
  • Ensure food is prepared, handled, and stored in compliance with sanitation standards
  • Assist in supervising and training Food Service Aides
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment
  • Follow written and verbal instructions while taking pride in the quality and accuracy of your work
