Teaching Lab is a nonprofit organization dedicated to transforming teacher professional learning to improve student outcomes. They partner with educators and leaders to create systems that support these changes. Their values center around collaboration, resilience, research, accountability, equity, and justice. This role is a contractor position based in Kansas City, MO, starting August-September 2026. Compensation is based on a day-rate model, and work hours are not guaranteed. The role requires deep expertise in curriculum-based professional development, equitable instructional practices, and impactful 1:1 coaching and group facilitation in K-12 math, with specific curriculum expertise in Eureka Math (K-8) and/or Illustrative Math (9-12). The Program department focuses on designing, delivering, and improving teacher professional learning to drive student achievement and advance educational equity. The Facilitator/Coach will primarily facilitate professional learning and provide instructional coaching to educators and school leaders, focusing on high-quality instructional materials and research-based practices. Responsibilities include designing and delivering professional development, providing 1:1 coaching and group learning, building relationships, and supporting data collection and reporting. This is an individual contributor role with no management responsibilities, requiring collaboration, adaptability, instructional expertise, and a commitment to equity.
