This position is for a K-12 English as a Second Language (ESL) Teacher responsible for providing English language instruction to Limited English Proficient students. The role requires a strong understanding of second language acquisition, linguistics, and cross-cultural sensitivity. The teacher will coordinate screening and proficiency tests, maintain instructional schedules, develop and implement daily lesson plans based on ELP Standards and state academic standards, and incorporate formal and authentic assessments. Collaboration with content area teachers, completion of necessary paperwork, and communication with parents/guardians are also key aspects of the role. The teacher is expected to maintain professional growth through staff development and contribute to program effectiveness.
