About The Position

The JV Girls Basketball Coach at Mt. Blue High School is responsible for instructing athletes in the fundamental skills, strategy, and physical training necessary for individual and team success. The role also emphasizes the development of moral values, pride, social behavior, self-discipline, and self-confidence in student-athletes. The coach must ensure a safe competitive and educational environment and assist in the overall development of the Mt. Blue High School Girls Basketball program under the direction of the Varsity Head Coach and the Department of Athletics.

Requirements

• Substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of the sport.
• Ability to examine new theories and procedures pertinent to the field.
• Serve as an appropriate role model for student athletes through instructions and actions.
• Valid CHRC (Criminal History Record Check) certification.
• At least 20 years of age, or a high school graduate.
• Knowledge of NFHS and MPA Rules.
• Demonstrate ability to instruct and supervise student athletes.

• Ensure and provide the safest possible competitive and educational environment for all student-athletes.
• Assist in the overall development of the Mt. Blue High School Girls Basketball program as assigned by the Varsity Head Coach and the Department of Athletics.
• Implement athletic policies approved by the Mt. Blue District Schools' Board of Education.
• Adhere to existing system, state, and league regulations.
