The Department of Children, Youth and Families (DCYF) is seeking a Juvenile Rehabilitation Counselor 2 (JRC2) to join their team in Seattle. This role will focus on the collaboration and coordination of community reentry planning and services for JR youth and young adults receiving JR Parole Aftercare Services and Community Transition Services (CTS). The position involves providing a comprehensive, therapeutic, trauma-informed approach to support tiered reentry, aiming for the least restrictive, community-based step-down from secure confinement. This includes essential aftercare supports based on standardized assessment and Risk-Need-Responsivity principles. The work also emphasizes using Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion principles to advance DCYF’s strategic goals of eliminating racial disproportionalities and advancing racial equity.
