The State of Connecticut, Division of Criminal Justice (DCJ) is recruiting for one (1) full-time DCJ Juvenile Investigator for Juvenile Matters in Rockville, Waterford, and Willimantic. The position is located in Tolland County. This position generally works Monday through Friday, based on a 40-hour work week, with core hours of 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Candidates may be required to travel within the state in the course of their daily work. The individual in this role will screen, review, prioritize and prepare incoming files; ensure all case file information necessary for prosecuting is complete; obtain relevant documentation (e.g., police reports, hospital records, toxicology laboratory reports, etc.); locate individuals; prepare case synopsis and chronology for prosecutor; and respond to inquiries from victims regarding case progress.
