Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a government location, where you will help monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support screening activities while providing outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Security-related experience of at least 6 months is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Monitor and control access points, verify credentials, screen visitors, and document entries and exits in accordance with site protocols.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while communicating with staff, visitors, and appropriate authorities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
  • Support daily operations by maintaining accurate logs, reporting security-related concerns, and following post orders for restricted areas and movement control.
