Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • A tuberculosis test and MMR vaccinations are required in accordance with COLA, DPSS, and/or DHS requirements.
  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and contractors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, credential verification, and visitor processing at a government location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, screen individuals and/or belongings as directed by site policies, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report security-related concerns in accordance with post orders.
  • Maintain accurate logs, badges, keys, and access records, and communicate relevant activity to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to identify unusual activity and support security-related procedures.
