Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and vendors by following site-specific access control procedures, screening requirements, and security-related policies at a government location.
  • Monitor and control entry and exit points, verify identification and authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate logs of arrivals, departures, and restricted area access.
  • Respond to incidents, policy violations, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency personnel when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, checking doors, gates, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Observe and report unusual activity, equipment concerns, and security-related issues, and complete detailed documentation to support daily operations and/or incident follow-up.
